Blanca Barrera Morales, LCSW

Blanca Barrera Morales (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with extensive experience supporting victims of trauma. Blanca is a person-center, trauma informed, and strength-based therapist who works with children, teens and adults. Blanca specializes in working with trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, and depression. She has extensive experience working with adult and teen survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and human trafficking and their impacted family members. As an immigrant, Blanca understands the importance of honoring the person’s life and past experiences while empowering and fostering resilience in her clients as part of their healing process.
Blanca utilizes a strength base, person center approach integrating Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Flash Technique, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Play Therapy techniques, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness approaches.
Blanca is a native Spanish speaker with extensive experience working with immigrants.
